The Star of My Life
When she was born five years ago, the sky has become more beautiful than
ever because it has a newborn star called Hala. My niece, Hala, is the first granddaughter
that my mother and father have. As a star, Hala fascinates me with her sweet,
gentle, and calm light that shines on me and on those who admire beauty. Just
like watching the stars, I feel happy by staring at her cute small face and her
big pretty eyes. When she gets excited about something, she amazes everyone, in
my family, with her sparkling eyes and her speechless and priceless face. Listening
to her angelic voice, calling me “Uncle Saleh” gives me a feeling of pure
happiness. This happiness mixes with a feeling of pride that I have a wonderful niece. My family treats Hala like a sweet candy, which is by the
way the meaning of her name in Arabic, and therefore, they enjoy playing with
her, singing to her, hugging her and kissing her all the time. Hala‘s light
joins us together by pointing always to the love and the mercy that every
family searches for in their sky; indeed, she is the Polaris. Another thing I
love in that little star is her kindness soul. Her kindness appears when I see
her taking care of her little newborn brother. Last thing that I love in Hala
is her way of showing love; when I enter the house, she runs toward me cheering
and yelling until she is close to me. Then, she gives me the biggest hug that her
small body can afford to do. At that moment, I feel I have been blessed by the
stars.
I wish her happiness. I pray that she always keeps twinkling in the sky to remind me and her loved ones of the beauty that we forget sometime in life.

It's amazing how much we can learn from children! Hala sounds lovely, and she looks beautiful in the picture :)
